We are pleased to announce we have recently passed our IASME Cyber Essentials certification.

Digital security is becoming increasingly more important (and complex) for businesses and as such IASME Cyber Essentials accreditation is now a requirement for taking on projects for UK Government organisations and larger charities.

The Cyber Essentials accreditation represents the UK Government’s standard for digital security. Completing the assessment ensures organisations can demonstrate that they can prevent the most common internet-based security threats.

Cyber Essentials certification for small businesses

If you are a small business looking to apply for Cyber Essentials accreditation, the IASME website provides a range of learning resources as well as a list of the questions you’ll need to answer in the assessment.

To pass the accreditation you must clearly demonstrate your organisation can:

  • Understand how to correctly configure security Firewalls, including on your laptops and phones as well on your Wifi routers
  • Set up multi-factor authentification on online services
  • Manage passwords effectively
  • Installing software security updates swiftly

Our technical director Paul said “We are pleased to have passed the accreditation and feel much more confident and robust as a business for doing so.

Completing the assessment was a challenge but we learnt lots of very useful things along the way which we are hoping to pass onto our clients.”
